Articulate Austin is a six-month pilot program which seeks to generate investment in dance
not just as a performance-based but as a process-based art form, with the understanding that all art is informed by its individual creators, performers, and audience.
This platform, by which local choreographers and dancers can receive thoughtful feedback from their community, will culminate in a public performance on the weekend of September 7th, 2018. From March-September 2018, Devon Adams and Esther Bramlett will each create a 20-minute
dance work through a process of development designed to facilitate choreographic growth, informed critique, and audience involvement. Through the course of development of the piece, Devon and Esther will host a series of three public work-in-progress showings, taking place every 6-8 weeks at Balance Dance Studios.
